Negative emotions aren’t necessarily a bad thing, it all depends on how we use them. Emotions–positive and negative–provide valuable information that will help us grow, stay safe, and thrive. But if we get locked in the bad feelings or are always denying them and playing up to the positives we are adding to our stress. Instead, learning to accept our feelings is key to mental health. Today we talk about toxic positivity, working with negative feelings, and a few of the things Polly does each night to regroup and lean into optimism.
