Try This to Make Learning Easier No Matter Your Age

Lifelong learning is good for our brains and bodies, it may even help us live longer, but learning is about more than rote memorization. We not only have to take in the information but be able to retrieve it and apply the knowledge.

Retrieval practice is a powerful tool that involves unaided recall of the stuff we are learning.

Whether it’s about how to use our streaming devices, or understanding climate change or learning a new language, we are more likely to retain information we can use to enhance our lives by using this practice.

Polly explains it all in this episode and talks about how it has helped her in her writing and when helping her daughter study for anatomy. Though this strategy came too late thought to bale her out of the Greek Gods and Goddesses lessons from seventh grade.
