It’s easy to get locked into the daily routine and lose track of what makes us feel good, the things we enjoy doing. Whether is baking or learning a new language, going on a solo hiking trip, or taking a deep dive into music, whatever it is, the way back into life is to start exploring to discover what we love to do now, no matter our age or stage of life. It’s O.K. to have fun, though we might have to experiment with new things to find what feels good now. That’s the good part though, because that growth is expansive, exhilarating, and revitalizing.
In this episode, Polly Campbell talks about how a recent transition in her life has her wondering what she likes NOW, and what we can all do to step out of our comfort zones and grow as a way of rediscovering what we enjoy.
Some things we discuss? Daydreaming, mind mapping, and experimenting with activities we’ve always thought about but have been afraid to try–hello, kayaking. In the end, whether we enjoy the activity or not, the adventure and discovery help us grow and that always feels good.
