193 – Understanding History W/ Richard Pete Hill

Richard “Pete” Hill was born and raised in the great state of Mississippi where he spent the first 19 years of his life.

He spent the next 22 years of his life in the U.S. Army and while on active duty he earned a Masters Degree in Human Resource Management and subsequently retired at the rank of Master Sergeant.

His interest in history started when he was a child and throughout his adult life he has taught himself Black History as framed by legislation and court decisions.

Pete has presented Black history lectures at Simmons College a HBCU in Louisville Kentucky, at churches and federal agencies. He is a Equity, Diversity and Inclusion practitioner and is currently pursuing his Doctorate of Business Administration with Walden University.
